Cooking Mode that changes with every fold, plus Cook Together to time several dishes
Does Cleaver Kitchen: Cooking App work on iPhone Duo?
Yes, in the App Store version, seen in the simulator: closed, Cooking Mode shows the step, its timers and Previous/Next on the cover; half-open, the step sits above its ingredients.
- Simulator verifiedCleaver Kitchen's developer, in a submission to FoldHunt on October 13, 2026, with a recording of the app in the iPhone Duo simulator on iOS 27.1 (youtube.com). The developer says the recording is version 2.1.5, the App Store code run as a Debug build in Xcode 27.1, with the poses set by the app's own debug override rather than the simulator's hinge, and that the Duo layouts are in the App Store version. The App Store description has a Made for iPhone Duo section that describes the same three layouts, and so does the app's site. Version 2.2.0 (released October 14, 2026) adds the iPad version and iCloud sync.
Adapted for the fold

The step and its timers, closed
Closed, Cooking Mode puts the current step, its timers and Previous and Next buttons on the cover. The timers also show on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
- Book · Partly folded
The step above its ingredients
Half-open on the counter, the step sits on the upper half, and that step's ingredients, timers and Previous and Next buttons on the lower half, so you can read on while your hands are busy.
- Open · Inner display
Every step beside this step's ingredients
Open flat, a scrolling list of every step sits on the left with the current step highlighted, and that step's ingredients, timers and Previous and Next buttons on the right.
About Cleaver Kitchen: Cooking App
Cleaver Kitchen imports the recipes you already cook, from a link, a photo of a cookbook page, a Pinterest pin or the share sheet, and walks you through them step by step. Cook Together plans several dishes on one timeline, worked back from the time you want to eat; two dishes are free, and three or more need Cleaver Pro. Version 2.2.0 adds an iPad version and free iCloud sync.
On iPhone Duo, Cooking Mode, which shows one recipe at a time, follows how you hold the phone; Cook Together is the same on every pose. Closed, the cover shows the current step, its timers and Previous and Next buttons, and the timers also run on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island. Half-open on the counter, the step sits on the upper half and that step’s ingredients, timers and buttons on the lower half. Open flat, a scrolling list of every step sits on the left with the current one highlighted, and that step’s ingredients, timers and buttons on the right. The developer sent FoldHunt a recording of it in the simulator.

The same recording, with the app version and environment the developer sent afterwards: Cooking Mode on the cover with the step, its timers and Previous and Next, the step above its ingredients half-open, and the scrolling step list beside the step's ingredients open flat.
Poses shown: Closed, Book, Open. These are observations of the evidence, not a test of every interaction.
App version: 2.1.5 (23), Debug build. Environment: iPhone Duo simulator, iOS 27.1 (24A94401), Xcode 27.1.
The poses were set with the app's debug override, not the simulator's hinge, and the clips are edited together, so the recording shows the layouts, not the change as the phone folds. No build was tested.

Watched the developer's simulator recording frame by frame: Cooking Mode's step with big Prev and Next buttons, the step above its ingredients and timers, the full step list, then Cook Together building a two-dish timeline. Read the Duo sections of the App Store description and the site.
Poses shown: Closed, Book, Open. These are observations of the evidence, not a test of every interaction.
App version: Not recorded in this evidence. Environment: iPhone Duo simulator, iOS 27.1.
The Short crops the simulator to a tall frame, so the phone's pose isn't visible, and it gives no app version. No build was tested.
