About Lumessa
Lumessa is a small daily vocabulary practice in Polish, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese or German. Each day brings three new words for free, or up to twelve with Lumessa Pro, and every word comes with audio, example sentences and a memory hook before a few questions on it. Words you’ve learned come back for review on a schedule, with no cap on reviews, and the streak waits for you if you miss a day. There are no leaderboards, points or ads. A widget shows today’s word on the Home Screen and Lock Screen, the practice works offline, and an account is optional.

Checked the three full-size PNGs in the press kit's iPhone Duo download, which the page says were captured in Apple's iPhone Duo simulator: each is 2853 × 2007 pixels, the simulator's open display sideways, with the 09:41 status ring. The French word salut stays on the left page with its pronunciation button, while the right page shows its memory hook, two example sentences, or a quiz question with the right answer marked.

Simulator verified: Haruhiko Kishi, the developer, on the product page for the app, which shows unframed screenshots of it on the iPhone Duo's cover and open display. The App Store release notes for version 1.3.7 (released October 16, 2026) say it works on iPhone Duo, and that opened flat you can color across the whole big screen. The screenshots don't say which app version they show.
