A sun dial whose tiles step off the crease as you fold
Does SolarWatch work on iPhone Duo?
According to its developer, yes. FoldHunt's editor hasn't checked SolarWatch on iPhone Duo yet, so it's listed as a claim.
- Developer claimedThe developer, Engin Kurutepe, posted a video of SolarWatch's layout going from open flat to half-folded (@ekurutepe on X) and later a TestFlight build with iPhone Duo support (@ekurutepe on X).
Adapted for the fold
- Open · Inner display
Dial and tiles, open flat
Open flat, the solar dial sits on the left and glass tiles of sunrise, twilight, daylight and golden-hour times fill the right.
- Book · Partly folded
Tiles clear of the crease
Half-folded, the dial stays on the left half and the tiles pull back to the right half, so none of them sits on the crease.
About SolarWatch
SolarWatch tracks sunrise, sunset, twilight and golden hour around a sun dial. Engin Kurutepe’s Duo simulator video shows the open layout, with the dial on the left and glass tiles on the right, and how the tiles pull back to the right half when the phone is half-folded.
On the ideas wall
All ideasI started working on the adaptations and I'm pretty pleased how this is going. Here is the layout transition from the full open posture to the half-folded posture.
