A board of tally counters: half-folded, counts sit above the fold and the buttons below
Does KeepCount work on iPhone Duo?
Yes, since version 1.8 on October 12, 2026, and seen in a simulator screenshot: half-folded on a table, the counts sit above the fold and the buttons below. Closed or open flat, the usual board.
- Simulator verifiedTyler Hillsman, the developer, in a submission to FoldHunt on October 17, 2026, with an unframed screenshot of the app in the iPhone Duo simulator in the press kit (keepcount.app). The App Store seller is 1881 Digital, LLC. The release notes for version 1.8 (released October 12, 2026) say KeepCount now adapts to the iPhone Duo's inner and outer displays, with a tabletop layout when it's partly folded.
Adapted for the fold
- Book · Partly folded
A counting table
Half-folded like a laptop on a table, the whole board of counts sits on the upper half, and a card with −1 and +1 for each counter, with undo, redo and settings, fills the lower half. Long names wrap in full.
- Closed · Outer display
The board on the cover
Closed, the board of counters is laid out for the cover, and numbers shrink to fit rather than lose digits.
- Open · Inner display
The usual board, open flat
Open flat, you get the familiar board of counters across the whole display.
About KeepCount
KeepCount turns an iPhone or iPad into a colorful board of counters for game scores, workouts, attendance, stock, knitting rows and habits. Count up, count down or type an exact number, with a step from 1 to 100, undo and redo, and a Home Screen widget you tap to count. Three boards are free; KeepCount Pro adds unlimited boards, a full history of changes and no ads. Counting works offline, and your boards stay on your device.
Version 1.8, out on October 12, 2026, lays the board out for the iPhone Duo’s cover and open display. Fold the phone partway and stand it on a table, and the whole board of counts sits above the fold with matching buttons for each counter below. Open flat, it’s the familiar board. The developer’s press kit has a screenshot of the tabletop layout from the iPhone Duo simulator.

Checked the unframed iPhone Duo screenshot in the developer's press kit: 2007 × 2853 pixels, the size of the iPhone Duo simulator's open display held upright. It shows the tabletop layout: a Game Night board of four counts on the upper half, and a −1 and +1 card for each player, with undo, redo and settings, on the lower half.
Poses shown: Book. These are observations of the evidence, not a test of every interaction.
App version: Not recorded in this evidence. Environment: iPhone Duo simulator.
One still screenshot with no app or Xcode version, of the tabletop layout only: the cover and the board open flat aren't shown. The press kit's framed version puts the same screenshot on a picture of a half-folded Duo. No build was tested.
