Keyboard settings that turn into a sidebar and a page when the Duo opens
Does KeyboardKit work on iPhone Duo?
Yes. KeyboardKit has a layout made for iPhone Duo, and FoldHunt's editor has checked it in the simulator.
- Simulator verifiedDaniel Saidi of Kankoda, in a KeyboardKit blog post with simulator screenshots, closed, half-folded and open (keyboardkit.com). The App Store seller is Kankoda Sweden AB (id 1568444977). The release notes for version 4.8.0 (released October 9, 2026): "This version adds a new split-screen design for the iPhone Duo and the iPad." On October 10, 2026, Daniel posted on X that all of Kankoda's apps are ready for the Duo's launch (@danielsaidi on X).
Adapted for the fold
- Closed · Outer display
A list, as on any iPhone
Closed, the main menu is a list, and tapping an item opens its settings screen on top of it.
- Book · Partly folded
Menu and settings on facing pages
Half-folded like a book, the menu stays open on the left page and the chosen settings screen fills the right one, so nothing sits on the crease.
- Open · Inner display
A narrower sidebar open flat
Open flat, the menu becomes a narrower sidebar and the settings screen gets the rest of the width, closer to the iPad app.
About KeyboardKit
KeyboardKit is Kankoda’s app for setting up a custom keyboard, and it is laid out like the iOS Settings app. In Daniel Saidi’s screenshots on the iPhone Duo simulator, it is a plain list closed. Half-folded, the menu and the chosen settings screen sit on facing pages, one on each side of the fold. Open flat, the menu narrows to a sidebar. Version 4.8.0 ships this split-screen design for the iPhone Duo and the iPad.

Looked at the three iPhone Duo simulator screenshots in Daniel Saidi's blog post: closed, the main menu as a list, with the cover's camera hole and status ring; half-folded, the phone bent with the menu on the left half and Keyboard Settings on the right; open flat, the menu as a narrower sidebar with the settings screen beside it.
Poses shown: Closed, Book, Open. These are observations of the evidence, not a test of every interaction.
App version: Not recorded in this evidence. Environment: iPhone Duo simulator.
Screenshots with no Xcode version; the post says the redesign is in progress, with the keyboard preview and the keyboard itself still to adapt. No build was tested.
