An origami puzzle game where you fold the Duo to fold the paper and close it to crease
Does Paper & Grain work on iPhone Duo?
Yes, and seen in the simulator: line the sheet up with the seam, fold the Duo and the paper bends with the hinge; close it to make the crease. Touch folding works too.
- Simulator verifiedJeremy Collins, the developer, in a submission to FoldHunt on October 21, 2026, saying the Duo's seam works as a crease and the Guidebook can sit beside the sheet in tabletop or open. The Paper & Grain page on the developer's site has iPhone Duo simulator screenshots and an 18-second overview of the Duo folding the paper. The App Store description says the game is optimized for iPhone Duo, with optional folding along the device seam on iOS 27.1 or later. Version 1.0 was released October 19, 2026.
Adapted for the fold
- Open · Inner display
A paper workshop across the open display
Open flat, the sheet lies on a wooden desk with a dashed center guide over the seam, and the tools sit in a column on the right: move, scissors and pencil. Lessons, Free Fold and the Guidebook's diagrams open on the big display.
- Book · Partly folded
Fold the phone, fold the paper
Line the paper up with the center guide and fold the Duo: the sheet bends along the seam with the hinge. Half-folded in tabletop, the developer says, the Guidebook can stay beside your sheet.
- Closed · Outer display
Close it to crease
Fold the phone shut and the paper gets its crease. The cover shows the folded sheet, with the move, scissors and pencil tools in a tray along the bottom.
About Paper & Grain
Paper & Grain is a relaxing origami puzzle game. You start with a sheet of paper, pinch it into a crease or pull a corner and watch it curl, on warm wood with softly textured paper. Eight lessons go from a single crease to simple kites, folded letters, paper-cut shapes and square-base studies, with step diagrams and a Guidebook when you need help. Free Fold gives you a blank sheet to fold, cut and draw on, saved to a gallery, with undo and redo, and you can turn the paper in 3D to look beneath a fold. There’s no timer and no losing, and every lesson is free, with optional tips.
On the iPhone Duo, the phone is the folding control. Line the paper up with the center guide over the seam, fold the phone and the sheet bends with it; close it and the crease is made. Folding along the seam needs iOS 27.1, and touch folding still works. Jeremy Collins, who also made the TabForge code keyboard, shows it in simulator screenshots and an overview on the game’s page.

Looked at the three iPhone Duo screenshots on the developer's page, 3015 × 2169 captures in the simulator's device frame with the 9:41 Duo status ring: open flat, a cut sheet folded partway along the center guide, the Guidebook's step diagram, and the lessons and Free Fold menu. In the 18-second overview the simulator's Duo folds, the paper bends with the hinge, and the cover then shows the folded sheet.
Poses shown: Open, Book, Closed. These are observations of the evidence, not a test of every interaction.
App version: Not recorded in this evidence. Environment: iPhone Duo simulator.
The media come from the developer's site, not the submission, and give no app or Xcode version. The Guidebook beside the sheet in tabletop isn't shown. No build was tested.
